AeroGain BTA system
AeroGain BTA system
The AeroGain BTA (Between/Behind The Arms) system.
- Fits all standard pad and aerobar systems
- Bottle placed in the aerodynamically optimal position
- Seamless clean design
- Different spacer angle options
- Choosing the same spacer angle as the angle of extensions results in a horizontal bottle.

Description
The AeroGain BTA (Between/Behind The Arms) system allows you to mount a bottle between your armpads. With this system, the bottle can be placed either directly between the arms for wider pad setups, or offset behind the elbows, which is typically the aerodynamically optimal position for a bottle. Our measurements show that a bottle placed just behind the elbows can save the rider up to 6 W at 45 km/h, and a bottle placed higher, close to the chest, can save up to 10 W.
With the change in Ironman and World Triathlon rules eliminating the possibility of having a bottle or water bladder down the front of the race suit, a similar aerodynamic gain can be obtained by raising the bottle so that it sits close to the chest, closing the otherwise empty area there. Depending on the rider, this can further improve aerodynamics and lead to those total compared to having no BTA bottle.
The AeroGain BTA system is designed to integrate seamlessly with your existing pads, and will fit most triathlon bikes. It works by the baseplate being clamped between the mounting bridge, and your pads.
The BTA mount comes in different heights and angles, and can be further customised to suit the rider.

Measure the distance between the bolts securing the left armrest, and the bolts securing the right armrest.
If the distance between them is between 54 and 148 mm, choose the narrow width mount plate. If the distance is between 148 and 198 mm, choose the wide plate
