Aerotest
This is a session to optimise your overall performance on the bike, by advising you on the best equipment choices and position changes to minimise your aerodynamic drag coefficient (CdA) and rolling resistance, while maintaining power output. Velodrome testing offers a controlled test environment where the effect of small changes to position and equipment can be measured and quantified. With higher data quality, individual test runs can be shortened relative to outdoor testing, and more setups can consequently be tested in a single session. When you book a session you will receive a form to detail your current equipment and position setup, followed by a conversation to plan an individual test plan tailored to your specific needs and goals. We have a number of equipment options available for testing (different race suits, helmets, aerobar extensions, calf sleeves etc.)
Each session is either 3 or 4 hours and can be done solo or in pairs. Testing in pairs allows for a more efficient use of track time, as one person is testing while the other is making equipment and/or position changes. Conversely, a solo session allows more time for the tester to study the position and give live feedback during the track session.
A 4 hour paired session will allow a similar amount of test runs per person as a solo 3 hour session. Prices for paired sessions are totals for two people.
